Zackary Dent
Results-driven Controls Technician with hands-on experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing automated industrial equipment in high-demand oilfield operations. Skilled in NI CompactRIO platforms, J1939 CAN networks, low-voltage electrical systems, and engine management. I thrive in high-pressure environments where precision and speed both matter.
Who I am
I'm a Controls Technician based in Meridian, Idaho, currently working in the oilfields of North Dakota for Liberty Energy. I specialize in diagnosing and repairing complex automated systems where downtime is expensive and the pressure is real.
Before oilfield operations, I spent nearly a year at Meta's data center in Kuna, ID, where I built and maintained critical infrastructure at scale — structured cabling, rack deployments, and fiber routing for one of the world's largest networks.
I'm self-driven, technically versatile, and comfortable in both the field and the server room. I've written educational software, earned certifications across multiple disciplines, and I'm always pushing toward the next technical challenge.
